Here comes the bride, all dressed in… Whitney Eve?

Whitney Port has a lot of decisions to make about her upcoming wedding to Tim Rosenman, but the fashion designer is on the fence about whether she’ll wear her own Whitney Eve line on her big day. “I’m not sure yet,” she told Us Weekly at the Hunters Alley Launch on March 13 in Los Angeles.

In fact, Port, who got engaged in November in Australia, may turn to her fiance for style inspiration. “I really trust his advice,” the fashion designer, wearing her own Whitney Eve summer collection, said. “He has really good taste so I’m always asking for it.”

While she hasn’t said yes to a wedding dress yet, The Hills alum, 29, has at least narrowed down her vision for her day. “I don’t want to be too over the top,” she told Us. “Something simple and classic.”

The California girl is even thinking about having her nuptials in an exotic location. “Right now we’re thinking destination wedding, but nothing is set in stone at the moment,” she said. “I’m taking things really slowly.”

This Father’s Day and every day, Whitney Port is remembering her late father, who lost his battle with kidney cancer in March.

Talking to Us Weekly on Saturday, June 15 at the Whitney Port Charity Ride at Aura Cycle in Los Angeles, an event held to honor her late father, Jeffrey Port, the former Hills star opened up about how meaningful the day was to her. (At the spinning class, bikes were sold for charity using tickets, with money going to cancer research).

“It was awesome,” she said. “I just got all of my family and friends together and I just feel awesome energy riding in his honor.”

The fashion designer, 28, admitted that some days are hard to get through without him.

“I feel it comes in waves,” she explained. “I worked with my father so I feel like I’m trying to work even harder to do what he would want me to do and to motivate myself and live up to what our goals were.”

She continued, “Obviously times are hard, but I’m the kind of person who is going to rise above it.”

Before his passing, Jeffrey was the owner of a fashion company, Swarm. Now Whitney is continuing her father’s legacy — working on her own clothing and jewelry line, Whitney Eve. Besides focusing on work, the star has been enjoying life out of the limelight post-MTV days.

“You get to hold things sacred and things can be like private and intimate,” she said of time without cameras. “You don’t have to worry how anyone else is going to perceive it.

The California native, who says she still keeps in touch with Lauren Conrad, as well as Roxy Olin and Kelly Cutrone from her 2008 spinoff show, The City — said she keeps memories from that time in her life close to her heart.

“Obviously it was so much fun, I don’t regret it and it gave me the platform to launch what I’m doing now, but I’m really enjoying life without that kind of baggage,” she explained.

Who would have guessed Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt’s relationship would outdo everyone else’s on The Hills?

The pair, who are still reportedly happily married, don’t follow in the footsteps of the other cast members, who fellow former star Whitney Port says drifted apart.

“I think we all kind of went our separate ways once the show ended,” the TV personality, 27, told PEOPLE at Thursday’s grand opening of Kyle Richards’s Kyle by Alene Too boutique in Beverly Hills, where some of Port’s designs are being sold.

“I’m fine with it, like I’m at peace with it. With me, I never feuded with anyone, and nothing ever ended badly, so it just naturally happened that [I lost touch with people].”

Port – who says she runs into the show’s star and former close pal Lauren Conrad “here and there” – wouldn’t say being on The Hills “scarred me for life, but it definitely made a mark.”

But the fashion designer, who also starred on her own series, The City, isn’t ruling out another go at reality TV.

“I think I would do something fashion-related for sure,” she explains. “But I don’t ever see myself doing something as intimate as what I did.”

When the leggy blonde isn’t working on her line, she spends some time with her boyfriend, reportedly Tim Rosenman, who was a producer on The City.

“It’s very refreshing,” Port says about having a relationship out of the spotlight. “It’s nice.”
